I love rain. LOVE LOVE LOVE. And living in the dessert doesn't bring much, so when it happens we take advantage. It was really windy and cloudy the other day so I went outside to check the progress just as it started to rain. I called out the boys, and we sat on the step catching the occasional drop and talking about how nice it smelled. After a couple of minutes the wind really picked up, and it blew over a chair, which totally freaked out Ezra, so he ran for cover, terrified. That's when it started to pour buckets of water. Liam and I had a great time in it, and then Mo, not wanting to be left out, came out too. We ended up out on the trampoline until it started to hail, and then we ran for cover. Liam ran back out to taste it though, and was just so impressed that it was "raining ice". Bill and I were pretty impressed too, because the hail was not tiny, it was decent sized, and it was 100 degrees outside. Imagine that hail if it had been a cold day!

Fun! I love the rain. And, man, that hail would have been huge if it was colder out. . . thank heavens it wasn't!!
ReplyDeletewe had a major hail storm over here recently too. We thought for sure it would put dents in our van, but thankfully it didn't. looks like you guys enjoyed yourselves!
