ouch, Ouch, OUCH!!!
So, my kids are having an incredibly accident prone day today. Thought I'd share.
First of all, I wake up this morning to all three of my children jumping on my head, then Ezra decides to swing on the bed post, slips off, and lands on.... his face. Come on, this is Ezra after all, he does it right every time. By the way, Ezra also has a black eye on the other side of his face, and we have no idea where it came from! Yesterday I noticed it when I was putting him down for a nap, when I asked him about it he told me a rock punched him in the eye. (siiiiiggh)
Later in the day Daddy joined us for a quick lunch. When Liam saw Dad's root beer he remembered that he had one on the picnic table outside. He ran out to get it, and Bill cautioned him to blow in it first to make sure there were no bees. Uh-oh, right? So Liam blows in it, nothing happens and he take a big swallow, followed by a big scream, and "I blew in it, but it still got me!" Sure enough he got stung by a bee, right on the lip. We told him the story of when I got stung by a wasp inside my mouth, and the story of Larry's friend Oscar from veggie tales. Click the previous link to see Larry's story. Liam was very brave, and he pointed out that he is always brave, and mentioned the time he had to get his chin doctored up by Mom and Dad. When Liam was telling his Nana about the bee later he explained that the reason the bee bit him is he bit the bee first! He said "I was taking a drink and then I crunched this bee with my teeth and he stung me!" Eeeeeeeeewww!
A little later in the day Mo decided to climb up the back of a dining room chair, which of course tipped over and landed right on his forehead. You can't really see his bump, but it's right above his left eye. Poor Mo! As I was writing this Ezra knocked over the chair Mo was sitting on, throwing Mo across the room... no bumps yet, but I think we need to invest in a padded play room!

Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween was great! We didn't do as much this year as we did last year, but then again, I wasn't 7 months pregnant, dying of Disneyland legs by the end of the night last year either.

We went to our ward Halloween Trunk or Treat party and won first place for "Best Family" in the costume contest. How can you go wrong with the "Wizard of Oz"? It's so cute, and everyone knows who the characters are. Bill was the wizard, you can't see it in the picture, but he had a big bull horn and he kept yelling "Bow down to the almighty Wizard". And other stuff. Somehow we never got Kelly on our camera at all, so hopefully Vanessa posts a picture or two so you can see Dorothy's dress.
We did however meet 3 other Wendy's throughout our activities, and we got pictures with two of them. Isn't that little girl the cutest thing you've ever seen?

And this is "the stash".

Andy's Birthday and a sneak peek
The homeschool group here had a Halloween party last week so the boys got to wear their costumes early, which was so exciting for them. That also meant that I had to be done their costumes a week early, but somehow it worked out. In case you didn't notice, our theme this year is The Wizard of Oz. I am currently making Dorothy's costume, who will be played by none other than Kelly Peavoy. I did not make Mosiah's Lion costume, it was given to us for Christmas last year. It probably would have been cooler to make our own, but definatly more stressful, so we went with the pre-made one. More pictures to come after Halloween, with Dorothy and Toto included, with a possibility of the Wicked Witch of the West and The all-powerful Wizard of Oz. For now, enjoy these little cuties.

After the party we took naps to get ready for Andy's birthday party and pumpkin carving party. He got some sweet gifts and a cool cake. He turned four on the 28th, Happy Birthday Andy!
The pumpkin carving was fun. We let the kids paint theirs, and use markers, and then we cut a couple of them out. Our boys still had their makeup on from their party.
Ezra (and Daddy's) masterpiece.
Jake carved a pirate ship.

Bill and I have been married for 6 years, and in those 6 years he has only ever carved a pumpkin once... until last week. He decided to do his own pumpkin this year, AND he decided that if he was going to do it, it had to be awesome, so he carved "Bella and Edward". You've gotta love it!
The day after the party Ezra saw the Halloween makeup on the table, and decided to do his own makeup. I had no idea what he was doing, just that he kept running back and forth between the kitchen table and Grandma's mirror. When I finally stopped doing my makeup long enough to check it out he looked like this. I'm sure he would have been "much prettier" if I hadn't noticed when I did.

Vanessa carved this little pumpkin and I said he looked just like Sonny.

San Felipe Mexico - The Story
We had the chance to go to Mexico with my parents, Nana and Papa (Joan and Bill), and my little sister Cheyanne. The boys were so excited to go to the beach and it's all they talked about for the whole week prior to our trip.
On the way up we stopped at some sand dunes for lunch, and they were so cool. Who knew that our lunch stop would end up being the most favorite part of my whole trip? Every once in a while a group of dune buggies, motor bikes, or quads would go past us, and it was just way to cool. It was so beautiful, and our lunch was fantastic!
The beach was awesome, when the tide was out you could walk for miles and never find the ocean. We found all sorts of insanely cool shells, and we even found whole dead crabs. Ezra and Papa found the first one and when they brought it to us so we could see it we all thought it was alive (Ez was holding it) and there was a lot of screaming and freaking out. Ezra was so sad that no one liked his new friend and he started to bawl. After Papa explained that it was dead, and safe we all called him back over, apologized and took pictures.
We bought matching t-shirts in the markets, visited the Eldorado Ranch's pool, stayed in an awesome casita, watched the full moon, ate wonderful food, and had a great time.

Happy Birthday Mattea
Tomorrow is my littlest sister Mattea's birthday. This picture is from FOREVER ago (hint hint.... time to update your blog family).Mattea, I hope your day is incredible tomorrow, and that your parents buy you a horse. Okay, it probably won't quite work that way, but we can dream right? At least you can have a great day and eat some yummy cake and something else.
Love you so much!!!!
P.S. notice the cool background, made especially for you. xoxoxox
A little about Mattea: Mattea is such a cutie, her hair was super long when I met her and very blonde, the last time she came to visit she had it short, and so stylin'! Mattea loves horses. When she comes to visit she always swims in the pool, even when she has to chip the ice off the top of it to get in, her nephew Liam is the same way. The boys love it when Aunty Mattea comes to visit, and they do everything they can to drive her insane, but she still loves them 'cause they're hers.
