A Little Help?

Okay, we don't really usually open it up to the world like this, but we're really in a pickle choosing our new baby's name, so we'd like some input, AND some suggestions. We have two names picked out, that we LOVE, but some people don't like these names, soooooooooo please help!!!
The names we have picked out are Obidiah Franklin, and Mikah Franklin. Franklin is the middle name this time, so we're set there, but we do need a cute first name. Our kids names all mean something, they are all named after someone in history that has done great things. Names they can live up too, that's what we want. Names that mean something, names they can look up to. Heroes. Liam (Jefferson), for those of you who don't know, is named after his Daddy (William), Ezra (Adams) is named after two prophets (one LDS, one in the old testament) and Mosiah (Washington) is named after a prophet in the Book of Mormon. Middle names are all after United States Founding Fathers.
Okay, so this is your assignment, now comment, comment, comment.
By the way: Liam's name was suggested by Bill's dad John, and Mosiah's name was suggested by Jacob Skinner! Thanks guys!!!

  7. I'm one up for Obidiah for many reasons. So get ready.
#1 I get to call him Obi-Wan kenobi/aka:Ben so that goes with Franklin (Benjamin Franklin)

#2 I used to know a Mikah and he was disturbing and weird.

#3 You already have a child with an M name.

#4 Mick, Mo, mike starting to get a little confusing.

#5 the odds are looking really against obidiah all the more reason to run with it.

#6 I will have the bragging rights of the diciding factor to tell him.

    Ok good luck!!

  8. Hey Kym, this is Spencer. I heard on your blog that you wanted us to look at a few names for your new child: Micah, and Obidiah. Here's my idea. You add a "hah" at the end of the name, like "Micahah" or Obidiahah. Today we were reading the scriptures about Moroni and his son "Moronihah." This seems to be a common theme, if your unsure, just add "hah" to the end of the name to keep it scriptural. If you don't like the "hah" then name him Isaih, Eligah, Wayne (lil wayne), my idea, or Luke (for Luke Skywalker).

  9. You are such a cute prego! I love Mikah... that was a name we had thought of for Brighton. I don't really like Obidiah, but that's just me. I love the meaning of your kids names. Very cute!

  10. Well, I like Mikah. It is different, and that is a good thing these days. I do not think that Benjamin would be a good idea if you are having a middle name of Franklin. . .talk about teasing!!

  11. I agree with the benjamin thing...(though it would be funny...benjamin franklin-though thats not you want peopel thinking when they first hear the name--that its funny!)

I really like the name Mikah, but I also like Isaak, Eli and Noah (though noah is quite popular these days). I also love hte Name Abraham (Abe the babe!!) and i like Atticus (though he's a fictional famous person Atticus off of How To Kill A Mockingbird). Actually i think Atticus Franklin has now become my favorite.

  12. New name came up when we discussed you at work. Joel was a prophet in the Old Testiment who worked hard against corruption and sin. David was a prophet with music in his soul. Micah is how you spell the prophet's name. Love ya Mom
